Appointment of Neil Winn as permanent principal of Murrayfield
I am very pleased to announce that Neil Winn has been appointed as Murrayfield Primary’s permanent principal.
Neil became interim principal in June last year following the death of Amanda Phillips. He took on his new role quickly and effectively, helping the Murrayfield community get over the shock of Amanda’s loss. Since then, he has worked hard to improve the school’s teaching and results while delivering the excellent education that every pupil deserves.
The board of directors ran a full recruitment process to select the permanent principal for Murrayfield and, based on that process, Neil was their unanimous choice. We are confident that Murrayfield will continue to go from strength to strength under Neil’s leadership.
I hope you will join me in congratulating Neil on his appointment.

The new PE/PSHE/Swimming timetable below starts on Monday 4th June 2018.
|Monday||Year 2: PE/PSHE|
|Wednesday||Year 4: PSHE/swimming
Year 5: PE/PSHE
|Thursday||Reception: swimming||Year 1: PSHE/swimming
Year 3: PE/PSHE
|Friday||Year 6: PSHE/swimming|
It is essential that all pupils bring their PE or swimming kit on the correct day. Too many pupils forget and this means time is lost for everyone. Both PE and swimming are part of the national curriculum and are not optional. If your child/ren is/are in school they are expected to participate.
School will be open tomorrow Tuesday 6th at normal school time. Due to water damage in the kitchen, there will be a limited choice of lunch.
