The success of Ipswich Academy was recently featured on BBC Radio Suffolk. Having just achieved their highest ever GCSE results, there is plenty of reason for celebration, not just for the Trust, but for Ipswich as a community. You can listen to the full feature below.

Wednesday 17th July will be this year’s “Moving Up Day”. This day gives pupils the opportunity to meet and work with, where possible, their teacher for next academic year.
Pupils will line up in their current classes, in their normal position, at the beginning of the day. Once registered we will have a short assembly from which they will join their class for next year. Pupils will be dismissed from the position in the playground which they will use next year. (Present Year R will be dismissed from the KS1 playground, present Year 2 from the KS2 playground.)
Pupils who would normally have PE or swimming (current Years R, 3 and 4) on Wednesday will still have those lessons so need to bring their kit.
On Friday 28th June, Paradigm Trust will be holding its annual sports day at Ipswich Academy. Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students from Murrayfield Primary Academy will be involved and be will representing their class throughout the day. Pupils will be leaving MPA at 09:00 and will return for the end of the day at 15:05.
Students are expected to come to school in their school PE kit, which is black shorts/tracksuit bottoms, white PE shirt and suitable trainers. Students are not allowed to come in their own sportswear or be wearing jewellery. Pupils with long hair must ensure that it is tied back. These are our standard expectations in PE.
Students must ensure they bring enough water with them. Please note that fizzy drinks are not permitted. Students will be responsible for their own belongings, so we recommend that no valuables are brought to school. We would also advise all students to bring a hat and sun cream. All children need a packed lunch. Children entitled to free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch.
Parents of the Murrayfield Primary Academy are welcome to attend the morning events (9:30am-12:30pm), although there will be limited numbers of sports day tickets available. Please note that if you wish to attend on the day only adults with a sports day ticket will be allowed entrance. Please send a note to the school office where your name will be put in a hat. Those who are randomly selected will be informed if they have a ticket. Parents will have to make their own seating arrangements in the designated area near to the athletics track.
We will be holding our sports day for nursery, reception, year 1 and year 2 pupils on the morning of Tuesday 9th July. This is a change to the day given in the latest newsletter due to KS1 pupils visiting Colchester Zoo next week, not leaving enough time to set up the activities for sports day if it remained the following day.
Pupils need to arrive to school in their uniform with their PE kit. Please ensure that, on the day, your child comes to school prepared to be outside for the majority of the morning. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and provide hats, a water bottle, and apply suncream if necessary.
It would be great to see parents and families coming along to support their child(ren) taking part. The events will start at 9.30 am so please arrive to the school reception between 9.15 am and 9.30 am where you will be escorted to viewing areas.
Appointments are available for you to meet with your child’s teacher on Wednesday 10th July between 3:30pm and 7pm or Thursday 11th July 2019 3:30pm – 5pm.

In order to login to the system, you will need the following information relating to your child, as held in our database:
- First name

If you have recently changed your title or surname, for example, and not inform us, we will be expecting you to login with the details we have on record. The email address you enter is only used to receive a confirmation of your appointment. If the system gives you an error when you login, it will not be the email address that is the problem.

Class teachers will meet with you on an individual basis to provide clear feedback on your child’s learning.
If possible, year 6 pupils should attend with their parent/carer.
