Instrument lessons
We had lots of interest for our instrument lessons, and we have filled all of our instrument slots this half term.
If you see payment on your MCAS app, this is because your child has started lessons. If you do not see this but you filled in the google form, your child is on the waiting list. If you would like your child to be added to the waiting list, please fill in this form.
Payment is due for lessons at the start of each term. If payment is not made, your child will be taken off the register and their place will be filled. If you haven’t made payment yet, please do so before the end of term.
Don’t forget, we offer these exciting extra curricular clubs at Murrayfield:
KS2 Choir is on Wednesday lunchtimes (places are still open for choir but young voices signs up have closed)
KS2 Drama club is on Tuesdays after school – we have spaces available.
Ukulele club (open to Yr 1-6) is on Thursday after school and has a few spaces available.
Year 1-6 have been eagerly practising the new Christmas song ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ in aid of ‘Save the Children’. This will be shared with you in December.
The choir have an exciting opportunity to perform with Ipswich Gilbert & Sullivan society in December. Details will be shared soon.

There is now a self sign-up service on the App. Just download ‘My Child at School’ from the App Store (it is free) and click ‘Sign Up’. You will then be asked for the schools name and it will take you through to a sign up page where you will enter your email address and create a password.
All clubs, trips, attendance information, school reports and parents evenings will be operated through this App so please do sign up. If you need any assistance please call the office and they will be able to help you.
Dropping off and collecting children
School Collection Time
Please could we kindly remind parents/carers that the end of the school day is 3.15pm. Please could you ensure, where possible, that children are collected at this time and not prior to the end of the school day. We have had an increasing number of children being collected from 2.30pm onwards over the past few weeks and therefore children are missing valuable lesson time.
Playground Etiquette at Drop off and Collection Times
Please could we politely remind adults that drop off and collect children to be mindful of the language used in our playground, particularly around our children. We would also ask that any smoking/vaping is done away from the school site and gates.
Parking
Just a gentle reminder to be considerate when parking in and around the school. Please refrain from parking on double yellow lines outside of the front of the school and at the back of the school. There have been a number of reported incidents of dangerous parking and we need to ensure that we keep our school community safe at this busy time. Your cooperation with this is most appreciated.
