Making a Monster

May 19th

Leappad 2 pupils have been looking at genetic variation in science.

They used coin flips to randomly select from the characteristics and physical features of two parent aliens which resulted in the set of siblings they were able to draw. The students really enjoyed seeing variation in practice and it really deepened their understanding on the topic and led to fantastic discussions around inherited and non-inherited characteristics.
